📌 Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using JiVault ("the app"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and MyAppsCart. If you do not agree, please do not install or use the app.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Material changes will be notified via an in-app notice.
🧭 Description of Service
JiVault is an AI-powered document management app that provides:
- Document scanning with auto-crop and enhancement
- OCR (optical character recognition) in 12 languages
- Secure local document vault with biometric protection
- PDF tools: merge, split, annotate, convert
- Cloud backup via Google Drive (optional, user-initiated)
- Digital signatures, QR scanner, voice transcription, reminders, and notes
- AI-powered image enhancement and text summarization via cloud functions
🔑 Accounts & Registration
JiVault does not require an account for core functionality. All documents are stored locally on your device. Google Sign-In is required only if you choose to enable cloud backup, and only to authenticate access to your own Google Drive folder.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device, vault PIN, and Google account credentials.
💳 Premium Features & In-App Purchases
JiVault is free to download. Premium features are available through in-app purchase via Google Play Billing:
- Monthly subscription — recurring monthly charge
- Yearly subscription — recurring annual charge
- Lifetime access — one-time purchase, no recurring charges
All purchases are processed by Google Play. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date through your Google Play account. We do not offer refunds directly; refund requests are handled by Google Play's refund policy.
Premium features may change over time. We will not remove core premium features without notice, but we reserve the right to add, modify, or discontinue non-core features.
📄 Your Content & License
You retain full ownership of all documents, images, notes, and other content you create or import into JiVault ("Your Content"). You grant MyAppsCart a limited license to process Your Content solely to provide the services you request (e.g., AI enhancement, cloud backup).
You are solely responsible for the content you store in JiVault. You agree not to store or process content that:
- Is illegal under applicable law
- Infringes the intellectual property rights of others
- Contains malware, viruses, or harmful code
- Violates the privacy of others without their consent
🚫 Prohibited Use
You agree not to:
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app
- Use the app for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our services or infrastructure
- Use the app to forge, falsify, or fraudulently alter documents
- Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the app without written permission
- Circumvent or attempt to bypass any security or authentication mechanism
🔒 Security & Vault
The Secure Vault feature protects your files with a PIN and optional biometric authentication. If you forget your vault PIN and have no biometric enrolled, there is no recovery mechanism — we cannot access your vault or reset your PIN as we have no server-side record of it.
We strongly recommend enabling biometric unlock as a backup access method.
⚠️ Disclaimer of Warranties
JiVault is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. OCR accuracy and AI outputs are provided as-is and may not be 100% accurate — do not rely on them for legally critical decisions without verification.
⚖️ Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, MyAppsCart shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:
- Loss of documents or data
- Business interruption
- Loss of revenue or profit
- Costs of substitute services
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of JiVault shall not exceed the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months preceding the claim, or INR 500 (whichever is greater).
🛡️ Intellectual Property
JiVault, the MyAppsCart brand, and all associated software, logos, and content are the intellectual property of MyAppsCart. Nothing in these Terms grants you rights to use our trademarks, trade names, or branding without prior written consent.
🌍 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of JiVault shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hyderabad, Telangana, India.
🔚 Termination
You may stop using JiVault at any time by uninstalling it. Uninstalling the app will delete all locally stored documents. If you have cloud backup enabled, your data will remain in your Google Drive until you delete it manually.
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to JiVault services (such as AI Cloud Functions) if you violate these Terms, without notice.
