JiVault Support

Tap the shield icon on the home screen or navigate to Vault from the bottom nav. On first use, you will be asked to set a 4-digit PIN. Once set, you can also enable biometric unlock (fingerprint/face) in Settings → Security.

To add documents to the vault, go to the Organizer, long-press a document, and tap Move to Vault.

Your vault PIN is hashed and stored only on your device — we have no copy and cannot recover it. If you enabled biometric unlock before forgetting the PIN, you can still access the vault with your fingerprint or face.

If you have no biometric enrolled and have forgotten your PIN, you will need to clear the app data from Android Settings → Apps → JiVault → Storage → Clear Data. This permanently deletes all documents stored locally.

To avoid this situation, we strongly recommend enabling biometric unlock as a backup.

Go to Settings → Cloud Backup and tap Connect Google Account. Sign in with the Google account linked to the Drive you want to use. JiVault creates a dedicated JiVault Backup folder in your Drive and syncs automatically based on your schedule setting.

You can also trigger a manual backup at any time from the Cloud Backup screen.

JiVault supports 12 languages: English, Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Gujarati, Kannada, Punjabi, Urdu, French, Spanish, and German.

Make sure you select the correct language before scanning: tap the language selector on the OCR screen. For best results:

1. Ensure the document is well-lit and flat
2. Hold the camera steady before capturing
3. Avoid images smaller than 300 DPI

If OCR is still inaccurate, use AI Enhancement (upscale) on the image first, then run OCR again.

AI features (background removal, upscaling, summarization, transcription) send your image or text to our Firebase Cloud Functions over HTTPS for processing. The data is processed immediately and not stored on our servers — only the result is returned to your device.

These features require an internet connection. If you prefer full offline operation, you can use the standard scan and OCR features which run entirely on-device.

Subscriptions are managed entirely through Google Play. To cancel:

1. Open the Google Play Store app
2. Tap your profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions
3. Find JiVault and tap Cancel subscription

You retain premium access until the end of the current billing period. For refunds, contact Google Play support.

Yes. From any document, tap the share icon to export as PDF, JPG, PNG, or WEBP. You can share directly to other apps, email, WhatsApp, cloud storage, or save to your device gallery.

To export multiple documents, go to the Organizer, select multiple items, and use the bulk export option.

JiVault does not require an account for core features. All your documents are stored locally on your device. See our Delete Account page for full data deletion instructions, including removing cloud backup data from Google Drive.

First, try force-closing the app and reopening it. If the issue persists:

1. Check for an app update in the Play Store
2. Restart your device
3. If still crashing, email us at support@myappscart.com with your device model, Android version, and a description of what you were doing when it crashed.

Documents in the Secure Vault are protected by your PIN and biometric — they cannot be accessed without authentication. However, documents outside the vault are accessible to anyone with device access.

Enable cloud backup so you can restore your documents on a new device. We also recommend enabling Android screen lock for an extra layer of protection.
