โœ… Option 1 โ€” Delete data from within the app

The safest way to delete your data while keeping the app installed:

  1. 1

    Delete all documents

Go to Settings โ†’ Storage โ†’ Delete All Documents. This permanently removes all scans, PDFs, and images from local storage.

  2. 2

    Clear the Secure Vault

Open the vault, select all documents, and delete them. Or go to Settings โ†’ Security โ†’ Clear Vault.

  3. 3

    Delete notes, todos & reminders

Go to each feature (Notes, Todos, Reminders) and use the "Delete All" option from the menu.

  4. 4

    Disconnect cloud backup

Go to Settings โ†’ Cloud Backup โ†’ Disconnect Account. This unlinks your Google account from JiVault. Your files in Google Drive are not deleted by this action.

๐Ÿ“ฑ Option 2 โ€” Uninstall the app

Uninstalling JiVault from your device permanently deletes all locally stored data โ€” documents, notes, settings, vault PIN, and preferences. There is no way to recover this data after uninstall unless you had cloud backup enabled.

  1. 1

    Long-press the JiVault icon

Tap Uninstall on the pop-up menu, or go to Android Settings โ†’ Apps โ†’ JiVault โ†’ Uninstall.

  2. 2

    Confirm deletion

Android will ask you to confirm. All local app data is deleted immediately.

โ˜๏ธ Delete Google Drive backup data

If you used cloud backup, JiVault created a folder called "JiVault Backup" in your Google Drive. Uninstalling the app does not delete this folder.

  1. 1

    Open Google Drive

Go to drive.google.com or the Google Drive app.

  2. 2

    Find the JiVault Backup folder

Search for "JiVault Backup" or browse to My Drive.

  3. 3

    Right-click โ†’ Move to Trash

Then empty the Drive Trash to permanently delete the files.

  4. 4

    Revoke JiVault's Google account access

Go to myaccount.google.com/permissions, find JiVault, and tap Remove access.
