🧭 Overview
Gully Cricket Scorer ("we", "our", or "the app") is developed and maintained by MyAppsCart. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app and its live score web pages collect, why, and the choices you have.
Gully Cricket Scorer is offline-first. You can score full matches without an account and without an internet connection. Signing in is optional and is only needed for cloud backup and sync, tournaments, and live score links.
📱 Data Stored on Your Device
Matches, ball-by-ball events, players, teams, groups, rule presets and settings are saved in a local database on your phone. This data stays on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app.
- Player photos and team logos you add are stored on your phone. They are uploaded only if you sign in and sync.
- Backup files you create from History → Backup & restore are saved or shared wherever you choose (for example to yourself on WhatsApp, Drive or email). We do not receive them.
👥 Importing Players from Contacts
If you choose to import players from your phone's contacts, the app asks for contacts permission and reads display names only. Phone numbers, emails and other contact details are never requested, so they never reach the app.
- Contacts are read only when you open the import screen and grant permission. You can deny it and type player names instead.
- The names you pick become players in the app, just like names you type. They are not uploaded unless you sign in and sync.
☁️ Optional Sign-In & Cloud Sync
Signing in is optional. If you choose to sign in, we use Firebase Authentication (by Google) with one of:
- Phone number — verified with a one-time SMS code (OTP).
- Google account — we receive your name, email address and profile photo.
- Apple — on iOS, once the iOS version is available.
When signed in, your matches, players, teams, groups, tournaments and the photos you added are backed up and synced to Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore and Cloud Storage). Our cloud database and server run in Google Cloud's asia-south1 (Mumbai) region. A profile name you enter is stored with your account.
🔴 Live Score Links & Tournaments
When you start a live score, the current score, team names, player names and the final scorecard image are published to a web page. Anyone with the link can view it in a browser, without installing the app — so share the link only with people you are happy to show it to. Live pages are archived after the match.
Tournament data (teams, fixtures, results, points table and player statistics) is visible to signed-in users who are part of that tournament, such as scorers, captains and followers you invite.
📊 Analytics, Crash Reports & Performance (Firebase)
To understand which features are used and to fix problems, the app uses Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics and Firebase Performance Monitoring (by Google).
- Analytics records app events such as "match started" or "scorecard shared".
- Crash reports and diagnostics include the device model, OS version, app version, stack traces and app-not-responding information.
- Performance data measures things like app start time and network request timing.
These tools use app-instance identifiers, not your name. Firebase data is governed by Google's privacy terms.
📢 Advertising (Google AdMob)
The free version is supported by ads served through Google AdMob. Ads are shown only at natural breaks — never while you are scoring. To show and measure ads, AdMob may use your device's advertising ID and device information.
- Where required (for example in the EEA and UK), the app asks for your consent using Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) before personalized ads are shown. You can change your choice later in the app under Ad privacy options.
- You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device's Settings → Privacy → Ads.
- Gully Pro users do not see ads.
Ad activity is governed by Google's advertising policies.
💳 Purchases (Google Play & RevenueCat)
Gully Pro, theme packs and tournament packs are bought through Google Play Billing. We use RevenueCat to verify purchases and keep your entitlements in sync. RevenueCat receives your purchase history and an app user ID (your account ID once you sign in).
We never see or receive your card, UPI or bank details — payment is handled entirely by Google Play.
🔔 Notifications
If you allow notifications, we store a Firebase Cloud Messaging token to send tournament reminders such as upcoming fixtures. You can turn notifications off at any time in your Android settings.
🤝 Service Providers
We use these providers to run the app. They process data on our behalf:
- Google Firebase — Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Storage, Hosting, Analytics, Crashlytics, Performance Monitoring, Cloud Messaging, Remote Config and App Check
- Google Cloud — our server, region asia-south1 (Mumbai)
- Google AdMob and the User Messaging Platform — ads and consent
- RevenueCat — purchase verification
- Google Play — distribution and billing
All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). Our providers may process data outside India under their own safeguards. We do not sell your personal data.
🗄️ Retention & Deletion
- On your phone: kept until you delete it in the app, clear the app's data, or uninstall.
- In the cloud: kept while your account exists. Delete your account and cloud data in the app from Settings → Account → Delete account, or email support@myappscart.com. See our Delete Account page for exactly what is removed.
- Email requests are verified and completed within 30 days.
- Purchase records may be kept by Google Play and RevenueCat as required for tax, refunds and fraud prevention.
- Analytics and crash data expire automatically under Firebase retention settings (up to 14 months).
👶 Children's Privacy
Gully Cricket Scorer is intended for users aged 13 and over and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us at support@myappscart.com and we will delete it.
⚙️ Your Rights & Choices
- Use it without an account: scoring never requires sign-in.
- Access, correct or delete your data, or withdraw consent: subject to applicable law, including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 — email support@myappscart.com. We reply within 30 days.
- Control ads: change your consent in the app's Ad privacy options, or reset your advertising ID in Android settings.
- Revoke permissions: remove contacts or notification access anytime in Android → Settings → Apps → Gully Cricket Scorer → Permissions.
🔄 Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above always reflects the current version. Significant changes will also be announced in the app.
