No. All scanning and AI analysis happen entirely on your device. Your photos, videos, and files are never uploaded to us or to any third party. Cleaniq AI works fully offline — you can even use it in airplane mode.

The only time the app uses the internet is to load ads and optional, anonymous crash/analytics data — never your file content.

Android requires the "All files access" permission (MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE) to clean junk files, empty folders, and old downloads that live outside your media library.

It is optional — if you prefer not to grant it, the photo and media cleanup features still work using standard media permissions. You can grant or revoke it anytime in Android Settings → Apps → Cleaniq AI → Permissions.

Yes. Deleted files are moved to the in-app Recycle Bin, where they stay for 30 days. Open Recycle Bin from the app, find the item, and tap Restore.

After 30 days — or if you manually empty the recycle bin — items are permanently removed and cannot be recovered.

Cleaniq AI uses on-device techniques: perceptual hashing to group visually identical or near-identical images, and blur/exposure analysis to flag out-of-focus, too-dark, or overexposed shots. For duplicate groups, it suggests keeping the sharpest, highest-resolution copy.

These are helpful suggestions — you can always review and adjust the selection before deleting anything.

No. The optimizer's security check reports only verifiable device facts — such as apps installed from outside the Play Store, disguised installer files, root access, or enabled developer options. It does not scan files for viruses and makes no malware claims.

It's designed to be honest: you'll never see fake "virus detected!" scares. If it suggests uninstalling an app, Android's own dialog always asks you to confirm.

Cleaniq AI is free and ad-supported. Go to Settings → Support Cleaniq and tap "Watch an ad, go ad-free". Watching one short rewarded ad turns off all ads for 24 hours.

We keep ads non-intrusive — for example, the first session is completely ad-free, and ads never block a cleaning action.

Yes. Every scan and AI decision runs on your device with no network needed. The bundled photo-labeling model ships inside the app. You can turn off Wi-Fi and mobile data and the cleaning features work exactly the same.

Cleaniq AI is conservative by design. It targets clearly safe items (cache, temp files, empty folders, leftover installers, duplicates) and never pre-selects your personal downloads for deletion. Everything you remove goes to the 30-day recycle bin first.

Still, we recommend reviewing selections before confirming — you know your files best.

Go to Settings → Cleanup reminders and toggle the weekly scan reminder. Reminders are scheduled entirely on your device and never contact a server. You can disable them anytime here or in your Android notification settings.

First, force-close the app and reopen it. If the issue persists:

1. Check for an app update in the Play Store
2. Restart your device
3. Make sure Cleaniq AI has the media/storage permissions it needs
4. If it still fails, email support@myappscart.com with your device model, Android version, and what you were doing when it happened.

Cleaniq AI has no account and stores everything locally. Uninstalling the app removes all app data (recycle bin, settings, and cached indexes). See our Delete Data page for full details.
